Gifford is a supporter of a variety of organizations for children such as Childhelp as well as the Association to Benefit Children. Cassidy's Place and Cody House have been named after the two daughters she has. As a humanitarian, she was given an honorary diploma by Marymount University in recognition of her work on labor relations.
